- PURPOSE OF THE JOB · The candidate will be part of the China Data team, with a direct report to Associate Director of Business Intelligence and Digital Innovation. · He/she will accompany the digital transformation of PCD China, and will work on AI/ML modelling, Data projects, digital solutions and data governance aiming to: · Ensure omni-channel data been well collected & all processes are compliance with PIPL. · Create / Update / Maintain PCD AI/ML model well performed and drive incremental sales. · Co-work with Media Team for data driven media performance in Tencent/DY/Red platform. · Be the key business owner for data projects and data solutions, involving cross function teams by leveraging AI/ML technology. MAIN RESPONSABILITIES 1)Acted as PCD’s Data Science Head · Align local & global data science roadmap, ensuring strategic alignment with HQ while adapting initiatives to regional market priorities and business objectives. · Using Dataiku as the global modeling platform for PCD, leading the end-to-end development, deployment, and maintenance of machine learning models to drive client activation and engagement. · Partnered closely with Brand and Performance Media teams to embed data-driven insights into media strategies, resulting in enhanced media efficiency, optimized spend, and measurable performance gains. · Drove innovation by pioneering PCD's Generative AI roadmap—defining the strategic vision, architecting the technical foundation, and leading the development of Gen AI solutions to unlock new capabilities in personalization and automation. · Established best practices and governance frameworks for responsible AI adoption, ensuring scalable, compliant, and business-aligned deployment of advanced analytics and Gen AI technologies. 2)Data Governance & Solution Leader · Define and drive the omni-channel data collection roadmap, prioritizing sources based on business needs and PCD data maturity. · Own PCD data quality, governance, and compliance, partnering with Legal, Beauty Tech, and Security teams. · Develop and execute the CDP roadmap, including onboarding new data sources and enabling downstream systems. · Leverage the 360-degree client view to generate business insights, support intelligent decisions, and identify opportunities. · Manage and optimize the PCD client tag system, creating business-relevant tags and applying them to campaigns. · Establish data monitoring rules and regularly report on data defects and issues. MAIN KPIs OF THIS POSITION · Respect timeline and budget · Data consistency and accuracy · Federate all concerned Dior departments with the ability to update them regularly with a clear roadmap and action plan RELATIONSHIPS · Global Data team · Internal PCD China: Cross Functions & BPC Team · External: Relevant Vendors · Team: All Team Members PERSON SPECIFICATION Key competencies: ● Curiosity ● Business oriented, understand technical perspective will be a plus. ● Multi-channel thinking ● Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills ● Strategic & creative ● Analytical thinking, good at finding insights from data ● Customer focus ● Perfectly bilingual in Mandarin and English and in both written and oral communication ● Integrity and trust Technical skills: ● At least 8 years of relevant working experience in AI/ML modelling or data innovation roles. ● Previous experience as a Data Scientist (experience in Retail, Consumer Goods, Cosmetics, or Luxury sectors is a plus). ● Familiarity with Hive-based data technologies, such as Alibaba Cloud / MaxCompute / DataPhin. ● Strong coding skills in SQL and Python. ● Proficiency in Python-based machine learning modelling, with hands-on experience using XGBoost and LightGBM. Familiarity with RNN/LSTM is a plus. ● Solid understanding of the fundamentals of large language models (LLMs), along with experience in prompt engineering and building agent workflows. ● Knowledge of China’s data laws and regulations is a plus. ● Experience in product development or working on digital/data solutions from the business side is a plus.
